The bi-annual Across the Border weekend is on again this year. This event is run by SLOW club and invites clubs from all over the east coast to attend this event.
Camping will be at the Glenreagh recreation grounds. Cost will be $10 for a non powered site per night for 2 adults and 2 children and $25 a night for 2 adults and 2 children on a site with power and water.
Glenreagh is located halfway between Grafton and Coffs Harbour on the Orara way.
Day trips are planned to various locations around the area, there are some great 4wding tracks in the hills behind Coffs.
Counter meals are available at the Golden dog hotel in town just a short walk from the campgrounds.

Come and join the club on an easy day trip to the Gatton state forest.
Meeting point will be the Mcdonalds at Goodna at 9am for a 9.30 departure.
We will make our way out to Gatton, going through town, and making our way into the forest by a different route to the usual route we take.
Once in the forest we will climb up to the main track. We will head up towards the Gus Butel lookout for lunch but wont be staying on the main road.
Lunch will be at the lookout. NB BBQ,s are available for cooking but you will need to bring some timber to cook.
After lunch we will backtrack slightly and explore some more of the forest.
Trip grading is easy with some low range driving involved. Due to the tracks we will be travelling on, which are not overly used some minor bush pinstripes may occur.
Trip leader is Craig McManus 0407648871.
When: Thursday 24 October
Where: Caboolture Information Centre on the Bruce Highway
Meeting: 11.00 (lazy start) for 11.30 departure, a leisurely drive to Bribie Island
A first for the Club. Bring your dog for an off-leash play on the beach at Woorim, Bribie Island. If you don’t have a dog, come along anyway. The sandy beach is a couple of kilometres long and provides a pleasant stroll with the sea to one side and dunes to the other. Note that driving on the beach is not permitted.
Bring a picnic lunch and snacks for your dog. Toilets, doggie water and poo bags are available at the beach.

This is just to give people some advance warning about a trip for the Canning Stock Route next year.
The dates have not been finalised, but it will at least 4 weeks sometime between June to August 2020. As such the meeting place will need to be decided by those coming as this will depend on the time people have. The final route has also yet to be decided whether we do the full or half length of the Canning, and what other places we would like to visit whilst out that way.
I will be limiting numbers on this trip to a maximum of 5-6 vehicles so please only register if you are pretty sure you can go.
If you want anymore information please either come and see me at a meeting or on another trip as I would like all participants in the trip to have some input into the trip before it is finalised.
This trip is during school holidays so those who have kids can plan to join in, With the rain received above the channel country early in 2019 the lake will be quite full. Traveling via cooper creek and the dig tree memorial to Innamincka on to Strzelecki Desert and Birdville track this is a trip for the explorer. Those who are new to this touring style you will be with experienced Landrover adventurers . As well travelling in group is always the safest option.
Need help to set up your vehicle the club has many members with great tips and real help to get ready for a big trip.
Want to know more just send glen a text and I will call you back for a chat.
On again in 2020 the event to get all those landrover owners together. more details will be added as we go. this event will have input form other Landrover clubs.
Get in early and be part of bigger and better event for 2020.
Any ideas dont be shy let the organisers know and get involved.
