Join the club for an easy family fun day and visit the Famous Condamine Gorge and the headwaters of the Condamine River - Australia's largest river system.

Meeting Point - Matilda Roadhouse near the Amberley Caravan Park at 8:30 for an easy 9:00 Departure.

Highway cruise to the Boonah-Fassifern Rd turnoff to Boonah, then onto the Boonah-Rathdowney Rd, past the famous Dungandan Hotel to the Carney's Creek Turn-off and the Queen Mary Falls Circuit.

We'll be climbing up into the Main Range National Park and then turning onto the Condamine River Road. Yes, the road does really cross the Condamine River 14 times, with easy and shallow well formed rock bottomed crossings.

The trip will then head into the township of Kilarney and out thru to Brown's Falls Picnic Ground. Only recently refurbished, the grounds offers, security off the main road, wide expanses of grassed areas, tables, BBQ's, new loos and a 20 min walking trail to the falls. We'll stop here for a picnic or BBQ lunch, soak up the summer sun and let the kids have a run around and the older kids a chin-wag.

After a leisurely Sunday lunch we'll head on up to Queen Mary Falls, take a peak at the falls and head on back down into Boonah, we'll then head back to the highway for the cruise home.

Trip is graded Easy.

(Please note heavy rain may cause track closure, but is not forecast at this time of the year.)

Trip is pet friendly.

(Please note that whilst we will be passing thru National Parks, the picnic grounds are pet friendly.
