    Camping Iron Pot Creek

    Relax beneath the shade of flooded gums at the secluded Iron Pot Creek Campground situated in the south of Toonumbar National Park. Toonumbar National Park includes extensive subtropical rainforests including Dome Mountain and the Murray Scrub; part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia's World Heritage Area. Walking tracks lead from the campground into the park with fantastic views available from Murray Scrub Lookout. Access is via Toonumbar Forest Drive, Murray Scrub Road and unsealed roads suitable for 2WD vehicles in dry weather only. Facilities include picnic tables, barbecues, tank water and toilets. Bring your own drinking water and firewood. Bookings are not essential. Camping fees are payable at the self-registration station.

    Located in the North Burnett Region in Southeastern Queensland, Mount Perry is about 365 kilometres northwest of Brisbane, and about 100 kilometres west of Bundaberg. Mount Perry and the surrounding area’s have a population of around 500. It is a historically significant town nestled in a valley near Mount Perry, the area's highest mountain. The mountain is the southern-most peak in the Hogback Range, five km east of the town.

    Sheep, cattle, copper and gold were the reasons for settlement, with gold mining continuing to be an important industry in the area.

    Join us for a weekend of activities ranging from half day drives, rated from scenic to moderate, visiting National Parks, various private properties, visits to the local winery, self guided tours, try your luck panning for Gold, entertainment at night, inter club games, lucky draw prizes, the opportunity to attend the annual 4WDQLD country meeting, where country club members can have input at a state level, and socialize with four wheel drivers from near and far.



    The event will be staged at the Mount Perry Showgrounds,50km's West of GIN GIN,with the support of the North Burnett Regional Council.
