Hi folks this is the info pack for people wanting basic info to join or sign up for trips. copies will be placed in business groups that we support and printed for those attending meetings if you as members want to carry a few to give out just let me know and I'll get some to you.

    Glen Zipf

    President LRCOB.

Land Rover Owners Club of Brisbane. Inc

The LROCB has been around since 1986 and is registered with the Office of Fair Trading as an Incorporated Club. The Club carries public liability insurance and can endorse QLD club vehicle registration.

The Club is run by a committee of 6 who are voted in by the Members at the Annual General Meeting held in August each year.

The Club is family friendly and uses the “TREAD LIGHTLY’ moto on Club events.

The Club website is the place for all your information from listed Club trips and events to Club Constitution and Rules

To join the Club, you must attend 3 events including at least one driving event. The other 2 can be Club Meetings, not sure - just speak to a Club Member or one of the Committee Members. The Club runs several new member orientation trips each year to 4WD parks for a weekend of camping and driving. A great time to learn a few tips from the experienced.

We are a social lot so feel free to join in and mingle with the Members. On Club trips you will need some basic recovery equipment in your vehicle but please ask one of the Committee Members about this.

Club Meetings are held at Salisbury Hotel in the bistro on the second Monday of each month but check the Club website events page for any changes to venue. The bistro has well priced meals and is a family friendly place so feel free to bring the kids.

Club contacts are via email the addresses are available on the Club website or send the President Glen Zipf a text on mobile 0468 648 597 and he will get back to you.

Club trips are generally run in SEQLD with some Members running trips all over Australia from the Canning Stock Route to the Finke Desert Race. Popular Club trips are held in National Parks from bush to beach - north to Bundaberg, south to the NSW Northern Rivers and west to St George. We have something to suit every taste.

The Club runs a Facebook page where many Members keep in touch with the latest gossip.

At all times Club Members are asked to behave in a friendly manner - we promote friendship and conservation of this great land.  Any bullying or harassment will not be tolerated and could lead to the offender being expelled from the Club.

We love our Land Rovers after all that’s why we join the Club but remember folks you are the Member not your car.

    Tread lightly and conservation

The Club is keen to both have great trips into the great Australian bush and the beach. We insist that all rubbish is taken home with you and not thrown to have the plastic and other rubbish left in our most valuable thing the land.

We want all Members to be considerate when in National Parks and look after the tracks that we drive, don’t travel in areas signed as “keep out” or any other warning. Observe all directions and don’t chew up the land - all our wildlife live here too.

To join up on a Club trip just go to the web site, go to the Becoming a Member Page and register your details, don’t worry too much about pics of your vehicle just the basic information is all that’s needed at this stage.  You can return to edit later on. Once your details are entered you can then join on the trip list. You will receive a confirmation email. The Trip Leader’s number is generally on the trip description.  Should you not be able to attend just send a text to the Trip Leader. Remember if you have vehicle problems then you will find other Members all too keen to help out - it’s part of the Club scene and culture. If you are unsure of equipment you may need, feel free to ask a Committee Member or call/text Glen Zipf.

When it’s time to pay for membership the Treasurer will email an invoice for payment. Please don’t pay anything until you receive the email. If you pay by PayPal membership will be automated and you will get access to the full site. PayPal is our preferred payment method.

The trip will have most information you will need to know but remember if it’s a National Park you will need to book and pay online for any permits or camp fees at

By registering online this records your attendance for Club membership.

    Enjoy the Experience
